I decided to go ahead and give the site a new look. Nothing major, but I thought we needed change. Change is good.

We had a fantastic year in 2007 and have the best hopes for another wonderful year ahead. Hope everyone is feeling well!

Yes it is true, things are well here and we have not posted! It seems like things get crazy here in September and do not stop, being that both of us work for the school system.
The kids are great. Both of us are great, and great is great. Great.

We hope all of you out there are great too, and wish you the best as the holiday season approaches. We will try to do better with keeping up on the pictures, so stay tuned.

Slow cooked chili in a crock pot is perfect for your guests. Throw this together in the morning, and by mid afternoon you'll be singing, "Chad's chili is the best!" to the tune of Yankee doodle dandy.

We had a few friends over this past weekend and I spent most of the time playing with the kids (ours and theirs). We played so many kids games that I had not played in years!
It was so amazing to watch Miles learn to play these games, especially Mother May I. He's only 3 years old, but he was able to use the commands I gave when I was "it" and call them back and improvise when it was his turn to be the caller. I was exhausted at the end of the day, but I ate up every minute.

We're back from the beach and we had a fantastic time. It was one of the nicest vacations I've been on, and it was nice to be with family. The beaches of the Outer banks NC are the nicest I've been to, and I will go back without a doubt. The kids loved the water, sand, and the pool at the house.
We're home and back in the swing of things.
